May/June 2026

Dear Prayer Partners!

We’re praising God for all the wonderful blessings we’ve had over the past two months. On May 2nd, we held a “Kids’ Day” outreach. We had about 70 people attend; it was a wonderful opportunity to share the Gospel here in our community! We then celebrated Mother’s Day at the church. It’s a blessing to take a moment to honor mothers and all that they do for us.

Later in the month, we were able to help another church in the city with music for a special baptism service. It’s always a blessing to use the gifts that God has given us for His glory. In May, we also started an English class with a family from the church and a Bible study with another couple from the church. Katye was also able to begin teaching two more music students. She now has two students whom she teaches in English and two whom she teaches in Spanish.

June: The World Cup has given many churches an amazing avenue for outreach. With some of the games being held here in the city, we were able to hand out gospel flyers to people who came to see the games. Josh was able to speak in English with a man from Russia and a group that came from the United States.

With summer approaching, our monthly teen meeting will take a break. Over the past few months, the teens have learned a song about trusting the Lord, along with truths from the Bible to help them in their walk with God. It has been a blessing to watch them grow spiritually and pray for one another. We pray that they will continue to grow in their walk with God.

At the end of June, we have a meeting with our immigration lawyer to renew our visas. We’re so thankful for the help she has been to us in obtaining our visas.

Church Plant Update:

Things are moving along with our upcoming church plant. We’ve taken time to look at several places where we can plant the church. As of right now, we’re still praying for God’s leading regarding a building in which to start the church.

Our sending church in the States has been working on a John and Romans booklet that we will use before the church plant to help invite people in the community. Please continue to pray for us as we seek God’s wisdom regarding the many details ahead.

Praise:

• Spiritual growth in the teens

• Many opportunities to share the gospel

Prayer:

• The church plant of Iglesia Bautista Vida Abundante

• Our visa appointment
