July/August 2026

Dear Prayer Partners,

In our last prayer letter, we mentioned that we had a visa appointment. Praise the Lord, we received our three-year temporary residency visa!

July: We were so blessed to cover for the Allinson family while they were on furlough in the States. They arrived back in Mexico just in time for VBS. We were able to see families from the community and the church come, and it was a blessing to have many people help throughout the week.

The week after VBS, Iglesia Bautista Esperanza Viva hosted teen camp. Again this year, Josh and Katye were able to oversee the games. We loved seeing the teens participate in many aspects of camp, from providing music during the services and helping the leaders with different things to cleaning up after meals.

August: The week after camp, we started the process of moving over to Lomas Verdes. We’re so thankful for a beautiful apartment and a landlord who was raised in a Christian home. Moving is always an adventure, but we have some wonderful friends who helped make the process go faster.

Right after we moved all the boxes and furniture into our new apartment, we flew to the States for a week to update our sending church and spend time with Josh’s family before taking some much-needed time off. When we got back to the city, our focus quickly turned to the upcoming church plant.

CHURCH PLANT UPDATE

We are excited about how God has been working to prepare us for the opening of Iglesia Bautista Vida Abundante (Abundant Life Baptist Church) in November.

Our sending church was able to help us by putting together 40,000 John and Romans for distribution before the first Sunday. We are so thankful for each person who has helped so far and for those who will be helping in the coming months to hand out these portions of God’s Word, along with flyers about the new church, to the people of Lomas Verdes.

Please continue to pray as we continue to look for a building to hold the church services and finalize all the small details.
