A pastor friend of ours calls deputation “pre-field ministry” and that is the perfect way to describe it. While our hearts long to be where the Lord has called us, we have a mission right where we are.
Right after Christmas, we traveled to Arkansas to visit Katye’s family. While we were there, we were able to help out on their farm, meet our newest niece, and get some much needed rest. We were also able to take a short trip to Kansas and present our ministry at Katye’s cousin’s church. It was a blessing to meet new people and see old friends. After spending a few days there, we started our journey back towards PA. We stopped back at Katye’s parent’s house before going to Tennessee to see Josh’s sister and her family. Then we continued to North Carolina to see his other sister and her family. While in NC, we got snowed in and were able to enjoy spending time playing in the snow with their church family. We then traveled back home where we got back to scheduling meetings for the year.
February has been spent helping out at our home church and contacting churches. We’ve been able to schedule several meetings over the course of the year and are excited to see our calendar slowly fill up. We just reached 15% of our needed support and we’re praying the rest comes quickly.
Prayer Requests
- The Allinson family and the work they have down in Mexico City. This is the work that we will be joining when we reach the country.
- New meetings and safety as we travel.
