August/September 2021

“Lord, send me anywhere, only go with me; Lay any burden on me only sustain me. Sever any tie, save the tie that binds me to thy heart. Lord Jesus, my king, I consecrate my life, Lord to Thee.                            – David Livingstone.

In recent years, this poem by David Livingstone has been put to music by Faye Lopez. This song has become one of our favorites to sing as this is our prayer to the Lord.

During the month of August, we had the opportunity to travel to White Marsh, Maryland. We had a great time with the people there and are thankful for their prayers.

In September, we had the opportunity to stay closer to home, travelling to Lititz, Pennsylvania.  While there, we spent the day with the church family, Katye filled in as the pianist, and Josh preached and shared our burden for the Mexican people. Towards the end of the month, we traveled to Collegeville, PA and took part in Valley Forge Baptist Temple mission conference. During the day, Josh was able to spend time with the men ministering in the academy and learning from the pastor. Katye was able to go shopping with the ladies and enjoyed fellowshipping with them. On Wednesday night during the service, we were able to teach the children; we had a lesson on missions and played some games with them. Throughout the rest of the week, we were able to sing in a service and share our testimonies. On Saturday, we enjoyed traveling to Sight and Sound in Lancaster with the other missionaries and some of the church staff.  Sunday morning, we were able to be part of the Teen Sunday School and the Senior Saints Ministry. We were blown away by the generosity of the people here, as they provided for several needs we had.

We were at about 8% support before Valley Forge Baptist. We are praising the Lord for their faithfulness as they promised to take us on in the coming month.
